Bariatric Surgery for
Obesity
Bariatric surgery aids in long-term weight loss by altering the digestive system, especially for those struggling with obesity. It offers benefits like reduced health risks, improved mobility, and an enhanced quality of life.
Bariatric Surgery for Metabolic Disorders
Bariatric surgery reduces risk for stroke and heart attack as it treats uncontrolled diabets and hypertension, high cholestrol and fatty liver all at once.
Bariatric Surgery for
OSA , PCOS
Bariatric surgery improves Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), which occurs when air can't pass through the respiratory tract freely during sleep.

-

Various options for obesity treatment
Bariatric procedures, which aid in weight loss, can be either surgical or non-surgical. These options work by restricting food intake, altering digestion, or affecting appetite-regulating hormones, helping individuals achieve significant and lasting weight loss.
1. Non Surgical Treatment
The Intragastric Balloon is a non-surgical weight loss option where a saline-filled balloon is placed in the stomach via endoscopy. It helps patients feel full sooner, limiting food intake, and is typically removed after six months. View YouTube playlist.
2. Surgical Treatment
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgery reduces stomach size and bypasses part of the small intestine, lowering calorie absorption and altering hunger hormones for effective long-term weight loss.
Sleeve Gastrectomy removes 80% of the stomach, creating a smaller sleeve-shaped stomach that limits food intake and reduces hunger hormones.
Mini Gastric Bypass creates a small stomach pouch and bypasses part of the small intestine, reducing appetite and improving nutrient absorption with fewer complications.
